I've created a free trial of Dynamics 365 Customer Service from here

If I log in to then under Environment I can see my trial Customer Service environment.

However if I log in to then I only have the default environment available.

I'm attempting to create a model-driven Power App connected to my trial Dynamics account, but I don't see any way to do this.

Is this possible or not?

  • can you post a screenshot of make.powerapps where in the top right selector only the default environment is visible? – Guido Preite Commented Mar 10 at 23:38

Reset to default 0

I worked it out. It's just a terrible UX.

On the Power Platform admin center, on the Environments page, there is a selector that doesn't appear until you hover over it.

Once you hover over it and select it the toolbar presents other options.

If you open the environment it brings you to the Dynamics 365 Setting page.

From here if you click the Power Platform Environment Settings title it takes you to another page from which you can create a new application.

This is terrible UX.

  1. The checkbox for selecting the environment in the Power Platform admin center doesn't appear until you hover over it.

  2. The Power Platform Environment Settings title also doesn't reveal that it's clickable until you hover over it.

UX that doesn't reveal itself until you hover over it is always terrible. And if you are changing the UX every year or two so we are always having to work out the new way of doing everything it's even worse. Please stop doing it!!
