In Azure DevOps Server 2022, all email notifications (such as assignment and work item updates) are working fine, but @mention (tagging) notifications are not being sent. How can I resolve this issue?

Reset to default 1

According to the description in the documentation "Use @mentions in discussions", check the following things.

  1. The @mention notification is available for the following areas:

    • Work item discussions or any rich-text fields
    • Pull request discussions
    • Commit comments
    • Changeset or shelveset comments
    • Wiki page comments

  2. Don't copy and paste @mention users. This might not be able to trigger the notification. You should manually enter @ and user identity in the comments to trigger the notification every time.
