I need to create an inner shadow effect on a circle in a custom View in Android (Kotlin). I’ve tried using BlurMaskFilter(Blur.INNER) and shifting the shadow with canvas.translate(), but the result doesn’t fully match my expectations.

What is the best way to achieve a smooth and realistic inner shadow effect on a shape in Android? Should I use BlurMaskFilter, gradients, or a different approach? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
