Everything I read claims that the WP HTML/php files are located in /var/www/html. However, when looking in the file directory in root var is there, but not the rest.

Using Filezilla I have looked into every folder in the root and cannot find any WP files.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

  • 1 Try sudo find / -type f -name wp-config.php -ls . It searches your whole filesystem. – O. Jones Commented Mar 31 at 12:11
  • This file does not show any location information for WP files. What exactly should I be looking for in the file? – cxxxv Commented Mar 31 at 16:44
  • It's not a file, it's a shell command. If it ran correctly and finds nothing, you have not yet installed WordPress on your droplet. – O. Jones Commented Mar 31 at 19:13
  • Why not ask Digital Ocean support? That seems the best place to start. – disinfor Commented Mar 31 at 21:21

I finally found it. I did ask DO. They never answered. Turns out they have a total redirect to another folder using the app name.
