I'm using SQL in MS Access. I have a column in a table that has two types of codes in a single field:

     MyColumn
XC1201923  XS381291
XC12019289 XS185691
XC12019 XS387
XC12019232 XS3274

I want to select only the text in that column up to the first space. The expected result would be something like this:

  MyColumn
XC1201923
XC12019289
XC12019
XC12019232

How can I do this separation based on the first space occurrence?
