I need the hardware volume controls to affect the Alarm audio stream (AudioManager.STREAM_ALARM) when a certain Dialog is displayed. I already set in in the Activity is its OK. When the Dialog is displayed, the audio stream is automatically switched to media. I tried to call setVolumeControlStream(AudioManager.STREAM_ALARM) from within the dialog to no avail.
