I've just done a fresh install of Docker to fix some strange issues with my previous installation. However, when doing docker run hello-world I'm seeing the following error:

docker: error during connect: Head "http://%2Fvar%2Frun%2Fdocker.sock/_ping": read unix @->/var/run/docker.sock: read: connection reset by peer.

Has anyone else encountered this error before? What was the fix?
