I have a few websites that need to be migrated to WordPress. For each website, I’m uploading each page’s whole HTML content into a Custom HTML block using the /wp/v2/pages
API. Each upload creates a separate page in WordPress, with each page containing only one Custom HTML block. The goal of this approach is to allow users to make edits and preview changes directly in edit mode
The issue I’m facing:
Some websites have many pages but share the same header and footer. If I need to update the header or footer, I have to manually edit each page.
What I’m looking for:
- Is there a way to use a common header and footer in the Custom HTML block for all pages? (Preferred solution)
OR
- Is there a way to automatically update the header and footer on all pages whenever a change is made to one?
