I am currently adding modding to my game, and I need a way to change the variables of my game's code to another value from another python file. I could call a function from another file (or a class function) but I do not know if it actually affects the in game values.
I tried to have a function get called and modify the values but couldn't. For example:
main.py
def modding(self):
self.testing = 0
import mods.modconfig as mod
mod.run()
modconfig.py:
def run():
gambling.testing = 1
yes, I am trying to find a way for the second program to "override" the first program's variable value.
