this is kind of a general question. But if I use DBCM_CRYPTO to encrypt something in say AES256, is there any way to pass that encrypted data to someone who is not running Oracle, and have then un-encrypt it?
We have a request to encrypt some data, pass it to a client with a public key (or something as such) so they can un-encrypt it. And while we suggested PGP with a public key, the client seem steadfast on using Oracle / AES256 to encrypt the data.
So, just seeing if what they want is within reach.
Many thanks!
