I have set up eCommerce tracking for my website using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) via Google Tag Manager (GTM). I have successfully implemented all recommended eCommerce events, such as add_to_cart, select_item, and others, along with the items array. These standard events are being correctly recognized by GA4, and I can see the item details in both DebugView and reports. However, when implementing a custom eCommerce event such as add_to_quote, the items array does not appear in GA4, even though the event structure and item parameters are identical to those used in add_to_cart. Other parameters for this event, like user_type, quote_timestamp, and business_type, are captured correctly, but items data is completely missing in GA4 reports and DebugView. I am using GTM to push event data into the Data Layer, ensuring the event name and structure match across Data Layer Variables and GA4 Event Tags. Since GA4 does not recognize add_to_quote as a default event, I suspect this might be causing issues with the items array not being logged. I need assistance in ensuring that custom eCommerce events in GA4 capture the full items array, just like standard eCommerce events. Any insights or solutions to troubleshoot this issue and properly configure custom events for eCommerce tracking in GA4 would be highly appreciated.
